Acessa Escola: a São Paulo state government program, developed by the State Department of Education, under the coordination of the Foundation for the Development of Education (FDE), aims to promote the digital and social inclusion of public state schools’ students, teachers and employees. Through the internet, it allows the users to access information and communication technologies for the building of knowledge and for the social empowering of the school team, to develop a program focused on the inclusion of the school community in the information society, using the equipment of the computer classrooms of the state schools, connected to the São Paulo state government Intragov Net.
Taking into account that, with the access to the Internet, students, teachers and parents have an endless virtual space of research, of service offer and of interpersonal and inter institutional exchange possibilities nowadays, the program aims to:
Provide to the school community the web environment resources, created by the Acessa Escola program;
Promote the creation and the strengthening of a teacher network (employment, exchange and production of new contents);
Create an intra and interschool cooperation and information exchange environment between teachers and students,
Increase the use of school physical infrastructure and equipment.
